Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation Awards Fuel Assistance Grants

President & CEO Stephen Lewis and AVP, Community Outreach Officer, Cheryl Lindstrom presented a check for $2,500 to Cara Johnson, the President of the Rotary Club of Thomaston, for their Fuel and Crisis Fund. The Fuel and Crisis Fund responds to emergent needs of Thomaston residents.

 The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation awarded $25,000 in fuel assistance grants throughout the community. These grants provide assistance to those unable to afford essential utilities throughout the year and especially in the winter months.

Thomaston Savings Bank is pleased to congratulate Officer, Contact Center Manager, Melissa Cipriano and AVP, Secondary Market and Loan Processing Manager, Tony Sanchez, who have recently graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management (CSFM). They have completed the two-year program focusing on a wide range of banking topics while highlighting their own personal specialties.

Acts 4 Ministry To Hold Virtual Bingo Fundraiser Feb. 13th

The non-profit organization Acts 4 Ministry will be the singular recipient of proceeds from a two-hour Virtual Bingo fundraising event to be held Saturday, February 13 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. that will include ‘traditional Bingo’ and Music Bingo with songs from the 1970s and 80s. 

 The non-denominational non-profit Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury will be the singular beneficiary of a two-hour Virtual Bingo fundraiser that will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. The fundraiser will be hosted by Get Your Bingo On, and sponsored by Thomaston Savings Bank.

Palace Theater Tour June 1st

The Palace Theater in Waterbury hosts monthly tours and the next one is Saturday June 1, from 11:00 am – 12:30pm.  If you’ve ever wondered what’s behind the scenes of a theater or what the symbolism of a ghost light is, then this tour will answer those questions and more, as well-versed tour guides take you through almost one hundred years of the theater’s history.  Get an insider’s view and learn about the magic behind the curtain along with the history and lore of this much-loved entertainment venue and community gathering place.  Admission to the tour is $5.00 per person and can be purchased online, by phone at 203-346-2000, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main St. in Waterbury. Groups of ten or more are asked to contact the Box Office in advance to register their group.

Thomaston Savings Bank received the Gold Award in their asset size category and was named “Best in Show” for community banks during the American Business Media’s Community Bank Heroes Awards Gala. American Business Media, publisher of Banking New England and Centerpoint magazines, has selected 18 community banks and credit unions from across New England to honor as Credit Union Heroes and Community Bank Heroes for their creation of unique community partnerships and going beyond the call to aid their communities in a special time of need.

Thomaston Savings Bank Donates to Waterbury PAL

Members of the Thomaston Savings Bank Waterbury Branch presenting a check for $1500 to Waterbury Sergeant Ryan Bessett of Community Relations Division and Officer-In-Charge of the Police Activities League.

The Thomaston Savings Bank Waterbury Branch Team selected the Waterbury Police Activity League to receive a grant as part of their “Act to Impact” giving campaign. The Waterbury Branch Team presented a grant award for $1500 to Sergeant Ryan Bassett who is assigned to the Community Relations Division and is the PAL Officer-In-Charge.
