The Brass City Charter School (BCCS) in Waterbury, CT has named a boardroom in its newly expanded facilities the “Robinson+Cole Boardroom” in recognition of pro bono work done on behalf of the school by Robinson+Cole.

Robinson+Cole’s work on behalf of BCCS involved helping on the acquisition and financing of the location of the two-year construction project at the school. The R+C team led by Steven L. Elbaum and David M. Panico included lawyers and paralegals in the firm’s Real Estate, Construction, and Public Finance Groups.

“Our charge to provide pro bono representation in our communities is not only the right thing to do, it’s woven into our nearly 175-year history,“ said R+C Managing Partner Stephen E. Goldman. “We are committed to working on these types of projects, and we hope the part we played in the school’s expansion is helpful to its ability to serve students.”

“Our thanks are not enough,” Andrew Sternlieb, Chairman of BCCS wrote in a letter to the firm. “Having the firm’s name on the boardroom wall will always remind us of all your hard work and kindness and will be an enduring example of generosity for our kids.”
