State Representative Stephanie Cummings (R-74) and community partner FD Community Federal Credit Union are co-sponsoring an upcoming, free“shred day” on Saturday, June 8, 2019, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the FD Community Federal Credit Union parking lot located at 281 Meriden Rd. in Waterbury.
Rep. Cummings urges people to bring their old and unwanted documents and papers to have them quickly and professionally shredded into unreadable scraps byShred-it.
There is no cost to have your papers securely shredded, however, Rep. Cummings, FD Community FCU and Shred-it are asking participants to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to local food pantries.
Shred-it’s proprietary cross-cut shredding technology turns your sensitive paperwork into confetti-sized pieces ranging from less than an inch to as small as an eighth of an inch, giving you peace of mind knowing your confidential documents can’t be reproduced or recreated.
This event is free and open to the public
Rep. Cummings represents the 74th district covering Waterbury’s East End and East Mountain.
