United Way of Greater Waterbury in partnership with Connecticut Food Bank and partner agency Catholic Charities has brought the CT Food Bank GROW truck to Waterbury. The GROW truck is an exciting opportunity for families of young children who utilize the Catholic Charities Childcare Center along with their parenting education programs to have access to fresh food options they otherwise would not be able to obtain.

On Tuesday, January 19th, ACTS 4 Ministry, Inc. joined the effort by providing cooking items such as pots, pans, bowls, utensils, along with brand new 30 piece measured containers so families can store their fresh food items that they selected off the truck. This collaborative effort around providing healthy food to families with limited access is just one more example of what it means to LIVE UNITED.
