If music be the food of love, play on! Not only a quotation from Shakespeare, but also the theme of Shakesperience Productions’ Spring Fundraiser being held March 28th. For the third year in a row, Shakesperience will be presenting Sweets to the Sweet, a delectable event featuring a dessert tasting presented by some of the area’s finest bakeries and candy companies; live and silent auctions featuring some truly one-of-a-kind items and packages; and performances of some of Shakespeare’s most iconic scenes – brought to life not only by Shakesperience’s top-notch resident actors, but also by the cream of the crop of local executives, legislative and community leaders, and other Waterbury dignitaries! Shakesperience Artistic Director Emily Mattina will direct our city’s leaders and luminaries as they step out of the office and onto the stage for an amazing evening of fundraising for the arts education of our region’s children.

Sweets to the Sweet 2015: If Music Be the Food of Love will be held at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 28. Doors will open at 7:30 pm, with performances and auctions beginning promptly at 8 pm.
