Seven Angels Theatre’s Mainstage season continues with the hit musical …The Wildest! HIP, COOL AND SWINGIN!, featuring the Musical Sounds of Louis Prima & Keely Smith, February 12-March 8. The Wildest!!! arrives at a moment when Louis Prima, Keely Smith held court with the Rat Pack and other Las Vegas icons.

Conceived and written by Randy Johnson, Thomas Porras, Luanne Prima, and Toni Elizabeth Prima.
Louis Prima and Keely Smith’s musical sound and style defined an era that has transcended generations and has become timeless in its appeal. Prima’s shuffle beat, combined with New Orleans Jazz and the wailing sax sound of Sam Butera was a precursor of the Rock & Roll sound of the 1950’s. It captures a unique era – the nightclub years of the late 50’s and early 60’s. As Artistic Director Semina De Laurentis said, “We are thrilled to bring this musical to Waterbury. The music and songs come from an era that is truly magical. Even if you didn’t grow up with this music, it’s a show you don’t want to miss.”

“From the opening medley of “Sing, Sing, Sing” and “When You’re Smilin’,” the show pulses with the signature sound and style that Louis Prima and Keely Smith forged. It is a long overdue resurgence and The Wildest!!! is the ticket.”- Los Angeles Times.

Directed by Semina De Laurentis, Musical Director-Bruce Barnes and Choreographer- Janine Molinari.
