On Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 10:30 am, Tracey O’Shaughnessy will be a guest speaker at the Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist  Society at 122 South Pomperaug Avenue in Woodbury.
She will speak about Pope Francis.

O’Shaughnessy, a two-time recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists award for her Sunday column, is the Associate Features Editor of the Republican-American. She writes weekly about family life, religion, society and culture.

A native of Massachusetts, O’Shaughnessy is a graduate of Wesleyan and American Universities, and has won three Wilbur awards for her columns on religion, a Missouri Lifestyle Award for her features, and a Clarion Award for her columns on women. She has been at the Waterbury-Republican since 1994, and is responsible for the paper’s theater and visual art coverage.

The Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society has a settled minister, Rev. Jeanne Lloyd, but also hosts community speakers. The public is welcome. After the service, there is a coffee hour. refreshments will be available. For information, refer to www.muusct.org
