A line of participants eagerly awaiting their corned beef and pasta fagioli dinner
On Wednesday, March 12, 2014 the Waterbury, CT Chapter of UNICO National sponsored it’s annual Charlie Lanza Memorial Italian Corned Beef Dinner at the Pontelandolfo Community Club/La Bella Vista in Waterbury.
The event was attended by approximately 500 people from the greater Waterbury area. UNICO members and a group of Chinese exchange students from Sacred Heart and Holy Cross High Schools in Waterbury served pasta fagioli, corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, bread, beverages and zeppole to a very jovial and friendly crowd. The delicious meal was provided by Andrew Razz Chef/Co-owner and staff from La Bella Vista – Fine Catering at the Ponte Club. Those in attendance commented that they loved the event and the food. Proceeds from this event are used for UNICO National and local UNICO charities as well as cultural and heritage events.
