The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recently announced their scholarship award recipients for 2014-2015. Mrs. Eileen M. Regan, President, and Mr. Anthony R. Azzara, Principal, are proud to announce that Samantha Olshefski, daughter of Paul and Jean Olshefski of Waterbury and a member of the class of 2014, was the recipient of a $1,000 grant to use for college costs and expenses. This program, funded through the Comcast Foundation, recognizes high school seniors from Comcast communities for their commitment to community service, academics, and leadership.
While a student at Sacred Heart High School, Samantha has been the captain of the school’s dance team, a member of the softball team, a member of the photography club, and a member of the cross country team. Samantha serves as an assistant dance instructor at the Sunshine Dance Center and also serves as a junior camp counselor during the summer months at Camp An-Se-Ox. She hopes to attend Sacred Heart University or the University of New Haven and is interested in pursuing a career in forensics, nutrition or biology. The Sacred Heart High School family congratulates Samantha on this outstanding community award!
