The public is invited to come to the Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society for a benefit performance of seasonal music by Sax Fifth Avenue, a Connecticut-based saxophone ensemble. The society is located at 122 South Pomperaug Avenue in Woodbury. The performance will start at 7 pm and will run until about 9 pm. The event is free but there will be a good will offering that will be entirely donated to local food banks.

“Sax for the Season” will be an assortment of seasonal music, along with some classical pieces such as Hallelujah Chorus, Pachelbel’s Canon and Ode to Joy. There will be a sing-a-long portion of music, as well.

The five members of Sax Fifth Avenue are: Mark Swigart of Sandy Hook, Chris Sutton of Southbury,
Ted Sansolo of Bethel, Sarah Ethridge of Wolcott and Mike Ingber of Oxford.

Baked goods will be available for sale. 100% of proceeds go to area food banks.
