It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Thomaston Opera House as Landmark Community Theatre presents the holiday classic stage play Miracle on 34th Street, directed by Gary Kingsbury, showing November 29th through December 15th.

This poignant play tells the classic story of a white-bearded gentleman claiming to be the real Santa Claus and how he brings about a genuine MIRACLE on 34th street by spreading a wave of love throughout the city of New York. The resulting camaraderie between Macy’s and Gimbel’s Department Stores convinces a divorced, cynical single mother, her somber daughter and the entire state of New York that Santa Claus is no myth.

Playing the role of Kris Kringle is vetran actor and retired New Milford educator from Litchfield, Brock Putnam. Making her TOH debut and playing the role of Susan Walker, a young girl who doubts the existince of Santa, is third grader Abigail Creech from Litchfield county.  The cast of Miracle on 34th Street also features Nicole Thomas,  a Torrington native and TOH volunteer/actor as Doris Walker, and Southbury residents; David Macharelli , recently making the leap from behind the scenes to acting, as Fred Gailey, and business owner, Patricia Paganucci as Ms. Shellhammer.
