Residents from across the state packed the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Waterbury on Sept. 7 to meet former Hollywood and Broadway star Reverend Mother Dolores Hart, Prioress of the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, CT.

Mother Dolores, who starred in films such as “Loving You” with Elvis Presley, and was Tony-Award nominated for the Broadway play “The Pleasure of His Company,” has written her memoirs titled “The Ear of the Heart: An Actress’ Journey From Hollywood to Holy Vows.”

For over four hours, Mother Dolores chatted with fans, posed for photos, and autographed her book for hundreds of people. A portion of the proceeds from store sales on Sept. 7 were also directed to The Gary-The Olivia Theater at the Abbey of Regina Laudis.

Mother Dolores is pictured here with several Barnes & Noble staff members: Robin Masiewicz; Lisa Winters; Bridget Noujaim; Carly Shay; Jennifer Whitman; Morgan Regan; Dawn Engelhard; Jennifer Radaskie; Christopher Castelle, and John Grabar.
