Barbara Branagan-Mitchell, owner of Branagan Communications Consultants LLC (BCC) in New Milford, a public relations, publicity placement, marketing communications, content writing and editing consulting agency, announced she has launched publicity placement campaigns for three long-established businesses in Waterbury, Connecticut: Fascia’s Chocolates, O’Rourke & Birch Florist, and The Grotto Restaurant. Celebrating 20 years of entrepreneurial success in 2013, Branagan-Mitchell has over 38 years experience in the public relations, publicity placement, marketing communications, content writing and editing fields.

This spring, BCC launched a regional publicity campaign to build awareness of Fascia’s Chocolates’ 50th anniversary, the purchase of their own building and creation of their factory as a national tourist destination. In August, BCC began process of launching awareness-building campaign to publicize the 90th anniversary of O’Rourke & Birch Florist Inc. named an FTD Master Florist and creator of Vera Wang Wedding floral arrangements making them one of only eight designated florists in Connecticut.

Also in August, BCC launched a publicity campaign to announce the 75th anniversary of The Grotto Restaurant which will host 75th Anniversary special events including a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on September 11 and special dinner offerings and door prizes through September 14.

Currently, BCC is also conducting a five-month publicity placement campaign for the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce’s annual fundraiser, the 31st annual Business Women’s Forum (BWF) that will be held October 18 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Recently, she executed several publicity-placement campaigns for Northeast Region Green Distribution and Manufacturing Center at 170 Freight Street and ESST-Energy Systems Sales & Training, LLC and IMTI – Industrial Management Training Institute both located at 233 Mill Street and all three entities founded and overseen by Marcel Veronneau.

An active member of the Waterbury Regional Chamber since 2008, Branagan-Mitchell has served as a volunteer Chamber Ambassador since 2009 and in 2010 she was presented with the Chamber’s highly-prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award. In 2010, she graduated from the Chamber’s informative Leadership Greater Waterbury program.
