With sold out audiences in Chicago and New York screaming for more, and a hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a 4-star review, the original parody 50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL premieres at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Tuesday, April 30, at 7:30pm. Tickets for the show are $38 and can be purchased by phone at 203-346-2000, online at www.palacetheaterct.org, or in person at the box office, 100 East Main Street in Waterbury.
A sexy, hysterical musical parody of the record shattering book trilogy, 50 Shades! The Musical opens with a ladies book club deciding to read Fifty Shades of Grey. Through their interpretation of the novel, the audience is lead on a hilarious roller coaster ride of this unlikely bestseller featuring dance numbers, a live onstage band, and 11 original songs including, “They Get Nasty,” “I Don’t Make Love…” and “There’s a Hole Inside of Me.”
As with the book series, the musical parody is recommended for mature audiences, but it also does not cross boundaries that would make general audiences squirm in their seats.
50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL is produced by Marshall Cordell, Albert Samuels and Emily Dorezas. For more information, visit www.50ShadesMusical.com.
