The Iron Curtain Falls: Rebirth and Renewal. Saturday, May 11, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Join us as
we welcome Dr Joseph Baxer. His presentation will focus on central and eastern Europe, from
the rise of Hitler in 1933 to the dismantling of the Soviet Union and the rebirth/renewal of this region. It will be viewed through the lens of visits this year to Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia and last year to Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. The Annual Book Sale Opening Weekend. Opening Memorial Day Weekend. Hours will be
Friday, May 24 12-5; Saturday, May 25 10-5; Sunday, May 26 12-5; and Monday, May 27
10-5. Expect a wide array of wonderful books including many current best sellers, mysteries,
biographies, art history and jigsaw puzzles! We look forward to seeing you!

The Book Sale Committee is always happy to accept book donations as they begin to prepare for the upcoming season!

2013 Car Raffle. The Library will raffle a 2009 Mini Cooper. The car will be on display outside the Library during the summer at the book sale which begins Friday, May 24 (Memorial Day weekend) and prior to that, raffle tickets will be available in the Library. The drawing will take place on Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m.when the winning tickets will be drawn at the Annual Pumpkin Run. Raffle Tickets are $10. Proceeds go to support the Library’s operating budget and make an important contribution since the Library is responsible for raising over 70% of its annual budget.
