(AFNWCT) will sponsor a Café & Conversation on French folk dancing Saturday, April 6th, at 10:30 a.m. at The Barn Club, 558 Main Street South, Woodbury. Dance master Patricia Campbell will present the topic in French and attendees will also read related materials. Admission is open to the public. A $5 is requested of non-members. On Thursday, April 11th, at 7 p.m., the Alliance will host a lecture in French by Sharon Straka, former Director of the Yale University Center for the Teaching of French, about French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Admission to this lecture, held at the Woodbury Library, is free and open to the public.
As a follow-up to the lecture, on Saturday, April 27th, the Alliance will sponsor a trip to the New Britain Museum of American Art for a guided tour in French of more than 150 works of Toulouse-Lautrec. The program is open to the public. Cost for Members and Non-Members is $15.
