The pride Greek-Americans feel towards Greece was on full display Saturday morning outside Waterbury City Hall during a ceremony honoring Mary Ricciardi as Greek Mayor for the Day. Pride in one’s cultural history is not exclusive to the Greeks, and that pride is the cornerstone of The Gathering on May 18th when more than 40 ethnic groups in Waterbury come together at one time to celebrate their music food and dance.
