Area business professionals are volunteering their time and talents in preparation of the 20th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Expo to benefit Easter Seals to be held on Sunday, February 3rd from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury.
The event is led by Maria Sanchez of Sweet Maria’s bakery. Other volunteers assisting her are: Cindy Cipriano, Thomaston Savings Bank; Barbara Kenausis, Easter Seals Board of Director; Hugh Langin, Protopac, Carmen Romeo, Fascia’s Chocolates; Mary Schmelcke, Savings Bank of Danbury; and Sharon West, Community Volunteer.
This one of a kind expo offers vendors the opportunity to showcase their delicious assortment of chocolate delights and other specialty food items, unique gifts, products and services to over 1000 expo attendees – just in time for Valentines Day or other gift giving occasions.
All Chocolate Lovers’ will indulge in mouth-watering chocolate delights including candies, cakes, cookies, truffles, chocolate/caramel apples, fudge, chocolate mousse, chocolate covered strawberries, fruits, pretzels and more! Attendees will also have the chance to shop for unique gifts from pocketbooks, jewelry, and cosmetics to olive oil, kettle corn, candles and cooking items.
