Main Street Waterbury has announced the 2012 winners of its Seventh Annual Downtown Holiday Window Decoration Contest. Judging for the windows occurred on Monday December 17th. There were 17 entrants this year and windows were judged in the following categories: Best Overall Window, Best Design, Most Creative, and Best Visual Impact. In addition, there were first and second runner-ups selected in alMl categories and a special recognition. The results are as follows:

Special Recognition for Community Spirit — Universal Copy – Bank Street
Universal Copy is being acknowledged for having created an attractive and poignant display dedicated to the victims of the tragedy in Newtown. This special effort demonstrates a glowing community spirit that deserves special recognition.

Main Street Waterbury is a grassroots, downtown management and revitalization program in the context of historic preservation.
