Molly Shipman, D.O. and Elizabeth A. Kelly, M.D.
The Center for Women’s Health in Connecticut, with offices in Waterbury and Southbury, has welcomed two new young physicians, Elizabeth A. Kelly, M.D. and Molly M. Shipman, D.O. to their practice. Providing comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care to women of all ages, The Center for Women’s Health, a member of Women’s Health Connecticut, has been serving women throughout the region for over 40 years. Dr. Kelly and Dr. Shipman join a team of eight other physicians who are all affiliated with both Waterbury and Saint Mary’s Hospitals in Waterbury. The eight additional physicians are Dr. Frederick Cohn; Dr. Jonathan Foster; Dr. John Lewis; Dr. Anne Schneider McNulty; Dr. Joseph Millerick; Dr. Marcia Tejeda; Dr. Clare Ventre and Dr. Mary Zozulin.

She also loves performing laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Shipman has demonstrated her holistic approach of integrating body, mind and spirit into her ob/gyn practice, and treasures the relationships she has fostered with her obstetrics patients. She has extensive training in both laparoscopic and robotic surgery and possesses a heightened interest in the latest and most advanced techniques.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Elizabeth A. Kelly attended Princeton University where she earned her B.A. in Psychology, and was a two-time All American Squash player. In 2007, Dr. Kelly received her Doctor of Medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. After one year of practicing at Fairfax Hospital in northern Virginia, she moved to Connecticut with her husband.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Molly M. Shipman, D.O., graduated Magna Cum Laude from Manhattanville College in Westchester County, New York with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She concluded her medical education to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008.
Accepted into Albany Medical Center’s Ob/Gyn Program, Dr. Shipman spent four years completing her obstetrics and gynecology residency where she served as the Associate Chief Resident in her third year. In her fourth year, 2012, she was elected Chief Resident by her peers and supervising physicians. In both 2011 and 2012, Dr. Shipman was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award by her faculty. Dr. Shipman recently moved from Albany back to her home state of Connecticut to pursue her practice as an ob/gyn physician.
