The Salvation Army of Greater Waterbury will honor outstanding community volunteers at its 4th annual Kettle Kick-Off Breakfast on Thurs., Nov. 8, at the Ponte Club’s La Bella Vista. Recognized this year will be Ron Boulanger, Firefighters Bill Unwin and George Hamilton of the Waterbury Fire Department, WATR-AM, Capt. Mary-Ellen Blake, Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation, and Scott and Liana St. Germain.

Award recipients have been chosen for their ongoing selfless volunteerism to improve the lives of fellow residents within the Waterbury area. Each honoree has worked behind the scenes in a unique way to bring relief and assistance to those who need it most. The Salvation Army is very proud and grateful to honor this special group, and invites the public to join them in doing so.

The buffet-style breakfast and awards ceremony will be held from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Ponte Club, 380 Farmwood Road in Waterbury. Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10.
