The Nonprofit Assistance Initiative (NAI), a joint project run by Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Waterbury, awarded $10,000 to StayWell Health Center in November of 2011. This funding was provided to assist with StayWell’s strategic plan, part of which specified a polishing of the StayWell brand. The NAI granted StayWell $10,000 to be used to update the agency’s logo.
StayWell currently provides care for over 20,500 unduplicated patients in the Greater Waterbury area. The scale and scope of StayWell’s services have expanded exponentially over the past ten years, and the grant from the NAI has allowed StayWell to update its logo, signage, marketing materials, and website with the intention of reflecting the evolving role and leadership provided by StayWell in the Waterbury healthcare infrastructure.
According to Dolly Rosario, Board Chair of StayWell, “The funding that was provided through the Nonprofit Assistance Initiative allowed the agency to update its visual image, without requiring funds be diverted from patient care. The prior logo was limited in its representation of the level of quality services and did not reflect the extent of our growth and development as a leading health care organization. It would have been difficult to accomplish our goal without the NAI .”
