The Waterbury Neighborhood Council is hosting a new event: Conn-Fection. A showcase featuring a delicious assortment of Connecticut grown food, produce, wines and beers, on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Palace Theater.

   Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased by phone at (203)-346-2000, online at www.palacetheaterct.org, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main Street in Waterbury.

   Conn-Fection attendees will sample wines from some of Connecticut’s outstanding vineyards while enjoying savory and sweet Connecticut sourced nibbles from a variety of exceptional food purveyors. In addition to the varietals of wines, spirits and beer provided by The Good Life Wine & Spirits, the event will also feature sumptuous samples from some of Connecticut’s most popular local businesses and farms, including pasta, sausages, artisanal bread products, gourmet olive oils, specialty condiments and relishes, delectable sweets and freshly harvested bounty from the early fall garden.

   Some of the vendors are Al Americano, Calvary Brewing, Digrazia Vineyard, Diva La Crepe, Fascia’s Chocolates, Giff’s Original, La Dolce Vito Café, La Molisana, New Morning Natural & Organic Foods, Onyx Moonshine , Pasta Heaven Saha Sauces LLC, Southern Relishes, Sunset Meadow Vineyards, Sweet Maria’s, The Olive Oil Factory, The Weed Company, Tiezzi Imports and White Silo Farm & Winery.

   Proceeds from the event, which is sponsored by The Good Life Wine & Spirits, the 1249 Wine Bar, and the Palace Theater, will be used by the Waterbury Neighborhood Council for their work to support all Waterbury neighborhoods, including downtown where the Palace Theater is prominently located.
