“Winning Strategies for Business Professionals” will be the inspiring theme of the 30th annual 2012 Business Women’s Forum(BWF®) that will be held November 1 in Hartford, Connecticut. Renowned as Connecticut’s largest and longest-running full-day annual conference for women, the Business Women’s Forum (www.2012bwf.com)is anticipated to attract over 700 business women from throughout New England. The full day of professional development workshops, networking and motivational speakers will feature Elizabeth Vargas, award-winning anchor of ABC-TV’s “20/20”newsmagazine; Chris Dailey, UCONN Women’s Basketball Associate Head Coach; Dennis Snow, formerly with the Walt Disney World company and now an expert customer service speaker, author and trainer. The 2012 Business Women’s Forum will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Celebrating 30 years of notable success in 2012, The Business Women’s Forum (BWF), is a program of the GreaterWaterbury Chamber of Commerce Foundation in Waterbury, Conn. The thrivingorganization is led by female executives dedicated to the professional andpersonal growth of working women. The BWF is sponsored annually by the U.S.Small Business Administration and supported by numerous Connecticut-basedcompanies.
Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber, and a BFW® director, stated that, “During the past 29 years, the BWF has generated in excess of $125,000 in scholarship funds for female Post University students to pursue a business education. The2012 BWF will feature workshops on the topics of leadership, employee engagement, sales, marketing and social media, customer service and customer relations and more. For 29 years, the mission of the non-profit BWF is our continual commitment to equality of opportunity and advancement for women in business.”

Previously she anchored “WorldNews Tonight Sunday”, occasionally anchored “Good Morning America” and was a correspondent for “20/20” and “Primetime Thursday”. Prior to joining ABC-TV, Vargas was a correspondent and anchor for “Dateline NBC” and “The Today Show”. Vargas has traveled the world covering breaking news stories, reporting in-depth investigations, and conducting newsmaker interviews. Throughout her acclaimed and multiple-award-winning career, Vargas has anchored live, breaking internationally-impactful news stories including the deaths of President Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy, Jr.
University of Connecticut-UCONN Women’s Basketball Associate Head Coach Ms. Chris Dailey completed her 27th season with the UCONN basketball program in 2012. The widely-recognized and revered Dailey was instrumental in teaming with the nationally award-winning UCONN Basketball HeadCoach Geno Auriemma to build UCONN into an unquestioned national power. She is the coordinator of the university’s notably successful recruiting efforts and expanding UCONN’s recruiting base to players joining the program from29 United States, the District of Columbia plus 6 foreign countries.
Worldwide full-time customer service speaker, expert and trainer Dennis Snow is author of two books, Unleashing Excellence: The Complete Guide to Ultimate Customer Service, and “Lessons From the Mouse: A Guide for Applying Disney World’s Secrets of Success to Your Organization, Your Career, and Your Life.” For over 20 years Snow honed his abilities with the world-class, service-driven organization where he launched a division of the Disney Institute responsible for consulting around the world with such leading companies asExxon Mobil, AT&T, and Coca Cola. He also spent several years with the Disney University teaching corporate philosophy and business practices. Snow coordinated the universally-recognized benchmark in corporate training, the Disney Traditions program. In his last year with Walt Disney World, Snow’s leadership performance was ranked in the top 3% of the company’s leadership team.
