A band of electrical storms swept across Connecticut today breaking the heat spell that has griped the state for the past three days. Temperatures reached nearly 100 degrees in sections of Connecticut, and the ominous clouds hovering over Bank Street in downtown Waterbury brough gifts of wind and rain.
