The second annual Easter Seals Family Fun Walk was held on Sunday, June 10th at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury. The event was dedicated to the memory of Dennis Collins, 1995 Easter Seals Ambassador, who recently passed away following a courageous battle with cancer and multiple disabilities. In attendance were Dennis’ family, friends, and hundreds of fellow supporters, all of whom graced the afternoon with tremendous spirit and enthusiasm.

After enjoying an activity-filled day of fun in the sun that included games and vendors selling everything from jewelry to olive oil, participants gathered as a united front for a brief walk around the park.

Local Sponsors for the event included Bozzuto Associates, Inc, Carmody & Torrance, Uncle Danny Collins, Fran DeBlasio, Diagnostic Radiology Associates, Elm Press, Haydon Kerk Motion Solution, Dr. Regina Hillsman, Tom & Nancy Kenney, Joe & Nancy Kinsella, Mutual Security Credit Union, Positive Energy Employees, PowerStation Events, Quassy Amusement Park, Republican-American, and Webster Bank. Proceeds benefit the programs and services of Easter Seals, which serves the special needs of individuals with autism and disabilities in greater Waterbury, central, and northwestern Connecticut.
