Village Green of Waterbury, a member of the Revera Inc., family is pleased to welcome Liz McAdam as the center’s new Rehabilitation Director.
Liz McAdam is a physical therapist practicing her craft with enthusiasm for over 15 years. Prior to joining the team at Village Green at Waterbury, Liz served as the Assistant Director, Rehab Services for Masonicare. In her role at Masonicare, McAdam was responsible for the management of daily clinical and administrative operations of their Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab departments, as well as overseeing the implementation of standards of therapy practice and programs to achieve optimal patient care outcomes. Prior to Masonicare, McAdam was employed in various positions with Gaylord Hospital.
As Rehabilitation Director, McAdam will be responsible for the team of dedicated and talented therapists at Village Green of Waterbury that evaluate and treat the various diagnoses that limit functional independence. In her new role, Ms. McAdam looks to build upon her professional connections to attract top rehab talent to the center and she is excited to oversee the center’s new STAR (Specialized Therapy and Rehabilitation) unit.
Through her years of practice, Ms. McAdam has enjoyed helping progress patients’ functional outcomes through rehab in the long- term acute care and skilled nursing facility settings. She specializes in the spinal cord injury, multi-trauma, medically complex and geriatric populations with areas of expertise in bracing, prosthetics and wheelchairs. McAdam is a graduate from the Washington University School of Medicine Program in Physical Therapy with her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
