The blood pressure and cholesterol levels in Waterbury’s economic development team just lowed a few notches. After months of actively recruiting Unipharm, an international manufacturer of vitamins and health suppliments, the company has decided to set up shop on the aptly named – Progress Lane – in the Brass City.

   Mayor Neil M. O’Leary and Director of Economic Development Ronald J. Pugliese will make the Unipharm announcement official during a press conference Thursday morning at 11 AM.  Mayor O’Leary will lead a tour of the facility following the announcement.  Unipharm, Inc. is a company specializing in the manufacturing of quality, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, supplements and nutritional products.  The new facility will occupy approximately 47,000 sq. ft. of space at the Captain Neville Industrial Park.

   Joining O’Leary and Pugliese will be Unipharm executives, Waterbury Development Corporation and Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce officials, local and state officials. The press conference will he held Thursday, April 26th, at 75 Progress Lane, Captain Neville Industrial Park, Waterbury.
