The Palace Theater’s motorcycle ride fundraiser and Charlie Daniels Band concert that was postponed in October due to the unexpected death of the band’s keyboardist, Joel ‘Taz’ DiGregorio, has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m. Registration for the rescheduled motorcycle ride will begin at 10 a.m. at the Palace Theater, where riders will have the chance to meet the day’s honorary “Leader of the Pack,” Chaz from WPLR’s popular “Chaz and AJ in the Morning” program. At 11 a.m., riders will begin a 47 mile scenic drive that will take them North through the Litchfield Hills, loop through Woodbury and Route 64 in Middlebury, and conclude at the theater, where Frankie’s Hotdogs and a variety of other vendors will be on site to greet the riders.
Participants are encouraged to stay or return later that evening for the Palace’s presentation of the Charlie Daniels Band, which will take place at 8 p.m.
Registration for the ride is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger. A special package for riders who also want to attend the Charlie Daniels Band concert is available for $55.
