Chairmen from last year, this year and next year’s United Way of Greater Waterbury campaign teamed up to organize a guys’ night out fundraiser to make a final a final push towards the 2011-2012 campaign goal. About 55 gentlemen attended this event. Through ticket costs and auction items, these men raised a total of approximately $20,000, which also included donations from men who could not attend but wanted to contribute. All proceeds will benefit United Way of Greater Waterbury.
A very special thank you goes to Dave Lepore, owner of Roma Ristorante in Oakville, who donated the space, as well as all the food and drinks served that evening.
This year’s Campaign Co-Chairs, Dr. Peter Jacoby and Paul Largay, are working very hard to make their goal of $3.6 million. The men of Greater Waterbury have challenged the women to beat them in fundraising. The women have accepted and are currently organizing a Ladies Luncheon sometime in May. Details on this event are forthcoming.
