Year after year, the Greater Waterbury community comes together to make dreams come true for over 50 local girls during prom season.  Waterbury Youth Services, home to The Perfect Prom Project Boutique, receives donations of beautiful new and gently used prom gowns, shoes, jewelry, and gift certificates to beauty and flower shops from area bridal shops as well as private donors. This year the supply of dresses is plentiful, but donations of shoes, jewelry, and accessories that are in excellent condition are being accepted.

The Perfect Prom Boutique at Waterbury Youth Services, 83 Prospect St., Waterbury location will open its doors Sunday, April 15th, from 11AM-3PM to eager high school girls who have registered with the Agency to help make their dreams of finding the perfect prom gown a reality.  The gowns and accessories are offered free of charge to
support youth who might be left out of this special high school experience due to financial hardship. Beauty and jewelry consultants will be on hand as well to offer advice. Young ladies wishing to participate should call Kathy at WYSS (203) 573-0264.

Those registered for the event will be scheduled for a specific time to report to WYSS to browse the boutique; allowing for each participant to receive individualized attention.  Upon arrival, they will be greeted by a personal shopper who will assist them in
selection of the gowns. Private dressing rooms are available.  There are hundreds of dresses, many of which are new and have never been worn donated by local dress shops.  All other dresses are gently used and are in excellent condition.  Alterations will be completed on site by students from W.F. Kaynor Technical School Fashion Technology
Department while the young shoppers enjoy refreshments.
