The Waterbury community is invited to a Family Empowerment Conference entitled “Stop the Cycle” on Saturday, March 24th, 11am until 2pm.  The conference will be held at the New Opportunities, Inc. auditorium, located at 232 North Elm St. The purpose of the conference is to engage and educate about the devastating effects domestic violence takes on our families and community. The conference will have segments covering such topics as domestic violence, teen violence & cyber-bullying, male involvement & leadership, proper attire (etiquette for success), and financial management. The family-focused event will be free and open to the public.
