The Post University swimming team concluded competition at the 2012 Metropolitan Championship on Sunday morning. A trio of Eagles competed in one event each in the qualifying heats on the final day of the event, which was hosted by Rutgers.

Freshman Gabriejla Zaper (Zagreb, Croatia) finished 28th in the 100-yd. freestyle. She completed the race with a time of 58.33 seconds. Sophomore Anna Kicinska (Stratford, Conn.) came in 29th in the 200-yd. butterfly with a final time of 2:31.44.

On the men’s side, freshman Tanner Cleary (West Haven, Conn.) swam to a time of 1:06.72 in the 100-yd. freestyle. Cleary finished in 77th place.

The 2012 Metropolitan Championship marked the first time Post University competed in the meet.
