The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) has selected Stone Academy’s Waterbury Campus, 101 Pierpont Road, to receive a prestigious award for scoring 100% compliance during a recent re-accreditation visit. Jeanna LaBella, School Director, will participate in the award ceremony at the ABHES National Conference on Allied Health Education in Las Vegas on February 23.

The purpose of ABHES on-site evaluation visits is to verify that schools are in compliance with all necessary standards to maintain accreditation in the Medical Assisting program. Accreditation is important because it signifies that schools are institutionally and programmatically sound and meet broader social responsibilities.

“If a student achieves a 4.0 GPA, that’s the gold standard for academic achievement,” says Joseph Bierbaum, Corporate Admissions and Marketing Director. “On a business level, receiving a 100% compliance score from ABHES is the equivalent of earning a 4.0. I salute the staff of Stone Academy’s Waterbury Campus for their consistently high level of professionalism and excellence.”  Stone Academy trains students to become medical office professionals, medical assistants, patient care associates, and licensed practical nurses.
