St. John’s Episcopal Church, 78 Green Hill Road, Washington, will host the Summer Food Festival on Saturday, August 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Booths will feature locally raised meats, produce and fruit from area farms, kitchen and cooking supplies, books, spices, herbs, sauces, jams and jellies, ice cream and baked goods. St. John’s will be selling its own cookbook, gift cards, small potted plants, gardening gloves, and lunches. Children’s activities include storytelling, readings by guest author Nancy Tafuri, books and puppets from Barefoot Books, and fudge making.

   A Summer Harvest Dinner, all created from local produce, meats and fruits, begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m., and dinner at 7:30 p.m.
