The Waterbury Police Academy held its graduation ceremony Friday night, July 8th, at 6:00 pm at the Palace Theater in downtown Waterbury. The graduating class marched in a parade to the 6:00 pm ceremony at the Palace Theater.


The parade route started on Grand Street at Cottage Place and headed west on Grand Street to its intersection with Leavenworth Street. The parade then turned right and head north on Leavenworth Street to its intersection with West Main Street where it turned right onto West Main Street and continued east to the Palace Theater.

Family and friends lined along East main Street to photograph the parade.

The graduates lined up in front of the Palace Theater and stood at attention for several minutes to let their loved ones capture the moment with still and video cameras.
Twenty officers graduated from the academy, including ten from the Waterbury Police and ten from the surrounding towns. The other towns represented in the class are Wolcott, Cheshire, Milford, Woodbridge, and Southington. Below is a list of the recruits who graduated.
