Keeping It Contained

Growing vegetables in containers is an alternative to a traditional vegetable garden for those who have limited space, who want to decorate a deck or patio with edible plants, or for those who have physical constraints that limit their ability to garden on a larger scale. This workshop will cover container selection for proper growing, correct soil mixes, nutrition, light and water needs.

The program will combine lecture and demonstration of exactly how to plant and care for an edible container garden. The material covered also applies to ornamental containers.
