Consumer Brand Veteran
Joins WORX

George O’Shea
Worx Branding & Advertising, one of the leading marketing communications agencies in the Northeast, announces the hire of George O’Shea as Vice President, Business Strategy. O’Shea will steward client business strategies by defining market opportunities – particularly for consumer and retail brands – while helping Worx grow its presence in the greater Boston market.
“George is simply put, one of the most respected voices in the consumer product space. His twenty plus years in corporate America, in increasingly visible senior level and equity player roles, has already fueled tangible results for client and agency growth,” stated Grant Copeland, Worx President and Chief Creative Officer.
The firm – who is agency of record for Crystal Rock, Newtown Savings Bank and Ski Sundown – and boasts a client roster which includes BIC, ESPN, Holiday Inn, IBM, Live Nation, Aetna and United Technologies – is gaining regional and national attention for its brand-building, creative and technology-related solutions.
Classically-trained in sales and marketing by Rubbermaid and The Mennen Company (a division of Colgate-Palmolive), O’Shea brings an appreciation for big company thought to dynamic company execution.
“George’s greatest asset is his ability to uncover needs, and develop “real world” opportunities for clients that go well beyond just marketing,” added Joe Gugliotti, Worx Managing Member.
Previously, George ran Business Development at Proteus Design, now Motiv Design, in Boston. Proteus crafted the strategic vision for the much-acclaimed Keurig Coffeemaker. The strategy behind the launch catalyzed O’Shea’s entry into consulting in the branding and marketing communications space.
